PROFESSOR AND Technology transfer office director at Holy Spirit University of Kaslik
Jounieh, Lebanon
About
I am a Professor in Biomedical Engineering and Director of the Technology Transfer Office at a research-active university, with strong experience in AI for healthcare, personalized medicine, Pharma AI, and digital health systems, as well as innovation-to-impact pathways. My work bridges advanced research, clinical relevance, pharmaceutical innovation, and real-world deployment, aligned with Horizon Europe collaborative frameworks.
My research team specializes in the design, development, and validation of AI-enabled health technologies supporting personalized and precision medicine, including data-driven clinical decision support systems, AI-powered pharmacological analytics, digital therapeutics, and connected health platforms. We integrate multimodal data (clinical, biomedical signals, patient-reported outcomes, and treatment data) to enable patient-specific prediction, stratification, and optimization of therapies.
Key competencies of my research team include:
-
Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning for healthcare and personalized medicine
-
Pharma AI: drug response modeling, treatment optimization, and data-driven pharmacological insights
-
Biomedical signal processing and clinical data analytics
-
Digital health systems, digital therapeutics, and remote patient monitoring
-
Human-centered design, usability, and clinical validation of AI-driven health technologies
-
Integration of AI solutions into clinical and pharmaceutical workflows
-
Technology transfer, IP strategy, exploitation planning, and impact generation
-
Academic–industry collaboration, living labs, and translational research environments
Proposed role in a Horizon Europe consortium:
-
Contributor or Work Package leader for AI development, personalized medicine, and Pharma AI components
-
Contributor for digital health system architecture, interoperability, and integration
-
Task leader for clinical and pharmacological validation, real-world evidence, and user-centered evaluation
-
Contributor to exploitation, innovation management, intellectual property, and sustainability strategy
-
Support for ethical, regulatory, and implementation-oriented tasks, including AI governance
Type of collaboration sought:
I am seeking to join a Horizon Europe Health Cluster consortium as a partner, collaborating with:
-
Coordinators leading Horizon Europe health and pharma-related proposals
-
Hospitals and clinical partners for validation and real-world deployment
-
Pharmaceutical, biotech, and medtech industry partners
-
Research centers with complementary expertise in AI, biomedical engineering, or pharmacology
I am particularly interested in projects aiming to translate AI-driven personalized medicine and Pharma AI innovations into clinically meaningful, patient-centered, and scalable healthcare solutions, with strong emphasis on validation, adoption, and long-term societal impact.
