Somenso – Digital Innovation for Early Detection and Prevention of Chronic Stress

CEO at Somenso

Sofia, Bulgaria

About

Somenso is a science-based innovation company specializing in the early detection, prevention, and treatment of chronic stress and stress-related disorders through the integration of psychology, neuropsychology, cognitive science, and digital health technologies.

Our research and development work focuses on the psychophysiological mechanisms of stress, linking cognitive, emotional, and physiological markers to long-term health outcomes, including cardiovascular and metabolic risk. Somenso has developed proprietary digital screening and profiling tools that enable early identification of chronic stress and mental health risk before clinical symptoms appear, supporting preventive medicine and population-level health monitoring.

We bring strong expertise in neuropsychology, cognitive assessment, behavioral health, and psychophysiology, combined with real-world validation through corporate and healthcare deployments. Our platforms generate structured behavioral and physiological datasets, enabling advanced analysis of stress dynamics, resilience, and cognitive-emotional regulation.

Somenso is currently expanding its research portfolio into Extended Reality (XR/AR)-based therapeutic interventions, developing immersive environments for the treatment of social anxiety and stress-related disorders, with real-time psychophysiological feedback and adaptive therapeutic protocols. This work is being conducted in collaboration with research laboratories and technology partners.

Within Horizon Europe, Somenso seeks project cooperation as a technology and clinical innovation partner in areas including:

-          early risk detection for mental and cardiovascular health,

-          digital and preventive mental health,

-          cognitive and behavioral biomarkers,

-          immersive and adaptive therapies,

-          AI-driven psychophysiological monitoring.

We offer validated screening tools, digital health platforms, clinical expertise, and experimental XR-based therapy environments, positioning Somenso as a strong contributor to multidisciplinary research consortia addressing Europe’s growing burden of chronic stress and non-communicable diseases.
