Cardiovascular Digital Health Partner for Non-Invasive Vascular Monitoring
Researcher at Université Libre de Bruxelles
Brussels, Belgium
About
We are an academic research team with strong expertise in cardiovascular digital health, signal processing, and translational medical technologies, and we are seeking a role as a partner in a Horizon Europe Cluster Health consortium, with openness to contributing to proposal co-design alongside the coordinator.
Our research focuses on the development, validation, and clinical translation of non-invasive tools for monitoring cardiovascular function in individuals and patient populations. A key scientific axis of our work is the assessment of arterial rigidity and vascular stiffness, recognized as major determinants of hypertension, cardiovascular risk, and early vascular ageing.
We have extensive experience in:
-
Digital biomarkers derived from seismocardiography (SCG), ballistocardiography (BCG), ECG-free mechanical signals, and wearable sensors
-
Estimation of arterial stiffness and pulse wave velocity (PWV) using non-invasive, scalable approaches
-
Multimodal validation against clinical gold standards (echocardiography, tonometry, MRI)
-
Signal processing, physiological modeling, and machine-learning–assisted interpretation
-
Studies ranging from healthy volunteers to patients with cardiovascular diseases, including hypertension and structural heart conditions
Our team is particularly interested in collaborative projects aiming to:
-
Develop or validate novel digital tools for continuous or ambulatory cardiovascular monitoring
-
Address hypertension prevention, early detection, and personalized risk stratification
-
Translate research-grade technologies into clinically and socially impactful digital health solutions
-
Integrate wearable data into clinical decision support or remote patient monitoring frameworks
We are looking to contribute as a scientific and technical partner, bringing methodological expertise, access to existing datasets, experience in clinical study design, and strong publication capacity. We welcome contacts from coordinators or consortia developing proposals in topics related to cardiovascular diseases, chronic disease management, prevention, and digital health innovation.
