Digital health interventions/therapeutics
Research Fellow at University of Southampton
Southampton, United Kingdom
About
I am a health professional and experienced researcher at the University of Southampton, specialising in the development and evaluation of interactive web-based digital behavioural health interventions.
I am seeking collaborators interested in developing and evaluating digital interventions/therapeutics (DTx) for
· the prevention or management of physical and mental health conditions
· promoting healthy lifestyle behaviours (e.g. physical activity, healthy eating)
· supporting home rehabilitation programmes
· delivering training to health professionals
· implementing decision aids
· supporting behaviour change across a range of domains (e.g. climate change, parenting practices, financial behaviour, etc)
· other relevant applications not covered above
I offer support across intervention development and evaluation, combining expertise in the Person-Based Approach (Yardley et al., 2015), including qualitative research and real-time user studies to optimise intervention content and usability, with responsibility for all technical aspects of intervention design, deployment, and hosting, using a research-ready digital intervention platform.
The platform provides an end-to-end solution for developing and hosting interventions, collecting data, and conducting trials, and has successfully been used for multiple large-scale studies and RCTs over many years.
Platform features include:
· User account management (signup, login, password management)
· Consent and eligibility screening
· Automated randomisation
· Content tailoring based on user data
· Email and SMS messaging (e.g. reminders, motivational messages)
· Questionnaire administration
· Goal setting and review
· Automatic usage data capture
· Secure data collection and storage
· Dashboard to manage trial: participant data, randomisation, sessions, email/SMS messages
· Data export functionality
· Mobile-friendly, responsive design
Additional functionality may be added based on project requirements.
