Physical activity, health and wellbeing

Lecturer, Human Performance and Innovation at Atlantic Technological University

Letterkenny, Ireland

About

Seeking partners for opportunities to promote health & wellbeing through physical activity, lifestyle interventions and behaviour change, specifically in three different population groups & contexts:

i) muscle strengthening activity (MSA) in the ageing population,

ii) menstrual health in women,

ii) day service support for people with intellectual disability.

We are currently conducting engaged research in these three areas, with postgraduate research students and enterprise partners. Our work has established feasibility, acceptability and preliminary effectiveness of interventions - we seek partners for co-ordinated multi-centre research programmes.
