Mitigating the conditions of smog in Lahore, Pakistan
Post doctorate researcher at University of Lausanne Hospital
Lausanne, Switzerland
About
Lahore, Pakistan has been standing first or second in bad air quality since several years. The condition is not getting any better. Developing countries cannot afford to take serious actions and usually work on the therapeutic actions only after a problem has occured. The preventive actions are possible only with enough resources. In conditions where floods, war, droughts occur, smog can be regarded less immediate. It is said that smog is affecting the lungs of residents of Lahore and non smokers are passively smoking harmful substances. I wish to take an opportunity to get help from experts and funders and to play my role in this climate issue which is influencing the health of children and adults alike. Join me if you consider that clean air a human right to be availed regardless of where you live.
