About
The Institute of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (IHMT-NOVA) is seeking a project coordinator and partner for a Horizon Europe consortium under the topic HORIZON-HLTH-2026-01-ENVHLTH-01.
Who we are
IHMT-NOVA has extensive experience conducting research, capacity building and implementation projects across Latin America (especially Brazil) and PALOP countries, through long-standing partnerships with ministries of health, universities, hospitals and public health institutes.
We are a WHO Collaborating Centre with robust expertise in epidemiology, environmental health, digital health, Real-World Data analytics, infectious diseases, migration health, vector-borne diseases and global health inequities.
Our team

Senior Scientific Leadership: Full Professor with expertise in statistics, econometrics, health information systems and global public health. Her experience includes serving as a WHO consultant, member of the EDCTP Scientific Committee and Principal Investigator of more than 10 EU-funded projects. She has over 20 years of cooperation experience in Mozambique, Cape Verde and Angola.

We seek to join a consortium focused on understanding and reducing the health impacts of climate change, with emphasis on vulnerable populations, gender inequities, and LMIC contexts.
