Linked administrative data and policy evaluation expertise for health research

I am an applied economist at Auckland University of Technology with expertise in linked administrative microdata, health economics, causal inference, and policy evaluation. My core competency is working with New Zealand’s Integrated Data Infrastructure (IDI), a population-level linked administrative data environment that connects information across health, education, income, employment, firms, social services, and demographic records.

I am interested in contributing to Horizon Europe project teams and consortia where linked administrative data, real-world evidence, or cross-sector outcome measurement can strengthen the empirical work. I can contribute to study design, the construction of longitudinal cohorts, econometric analysis, the evaluation of policies and interventions, and the interpretation of findings for policymakers.

I am particularly interested in projects on health prevention, social determinants of health, children’s and young people’s health, healthcare access, and the broader relationship between health and wellbeing. I am especially interested in projects where linked administrative data can help evaluate policies, interventions, and long-term outcomes.

New Zealand is associated to Pillar 2 of Horizon Europe, so New Zealand-based researchers and organisations can participate in Cluster 1 Health projects and receive direct Horizon Europe funding.
