Potential applicant for a funded RTDI project
Associate Professor at the University of Alcalá and researcher at GEISER, working on smart grids, renewable energy integration, energy flexibility, storage, hydrogen, digital twins, VPPs and AI-based energy management.
The GEISER Research Group at the University of Alcalá (UAH), Spain, conducts research on smart grids and the integration of renewable and distributed energy resources. Our expertise includes energy management systems, flexibility and local energy markets, virtual power plants, energy storage, green hydrogen, power electronics, digital twins, forecasting and AI-based optimisation. GEISER combines modelling and simulation with experimental validation, including Hardware-in-the-Loop and Power-Hardware-in-the-Loop platforms, and collaborates with academic, industrial and public-sector partners in national and European R&D projects.
I am an Associate Professor at the University of Alcalá (UAH) and a researcher at the GEISER Research Group. My research focuses on the digitalisation and decarbonisation of energy systems, with particular emphasis on smart grids, distributed energy resources, renewable integration, flexibility markets, virtual power plants, energy storage and green hydrogen.
My work combines energy management and control, forecasting and artificial intelligence, digital twins, power system modelling, and experimental validation through HIL/PHIL platforms. I am particularly interested in developing and coordinating collaborative European R&D projects involving universities, research centres, technology providers, utilities and other energy-sector stakeholders.
