José Manuel Ferreira Gaspar is an Assistant Researcher at the Centre for Marine Technology and Ocean Engineering (CENTEC) at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), University of Lisbon. His research focuses on the development of Power Take-Off (PTO) systems for Wave Energy Converters (WECs), with a particular emphasis on oil-hydraulic technologies. He is currently working on a hybrid simulation platform designed for dry testing of these PTO systems, aiming to enhance their efficiency and reliability.
Dr. Gaspar actively collaborates on international projects in the field of ocean energy, contributing to advancements in renewable energy technologies. His work has been featured in various scientific publications and conferences, reflecting his commitment to innovation in marine engineering.
