Research partner for floating wind monitoring and life extension (CETP 2027, Horizon Europe)

Mohammad Mahdi Abaei

Academy Research Fellow and Principal Investigator at Aalto University

Finland

About

I offer methods to estimate loads that cannot be measured on offshore wind and wave-energy structures, such as mooring, anchor and foundation forces, from the sensors already installed, with quantified uncertainty, and to use them in fatigue, reliability and life-extension assessment. Expertise: coupled hydrodynamic and structural modelling (OpenFAST, MoorDyn, radiation–diffraction), reduced-order and physics-constrained machine learning, reliability engineering, and industry experience in floating offshore wind.

Wind-farm owners, operators or developers with monitoring data; floating platform and mooring designers; research partners in hydrodynamics or sensing; and coordinators building consortia for the CETP Joint Call 2027 or Horizon Europe Cluster 5 calls in 2027.
