Partners for development of an open EMS ecosystem for large-scale BESS

Lukáš Hataš

Chair of the Executive Board of the HTIC and CEO Batteree at Batteree

Prague, Czech Republic

About

Batteree is looking for research and technology partners to jointly develop and demonstrate a next-generation Energy Management System for large-scale battery energy storage systems.

Our objective is to create a modular and interoperable EMS ecosystem capable of controlling BESS and integrating other distributed energy assets, including photovoltaics, EV charging, flexible loads, smart metering and other energy technologies.

We are particularly interested in cooperation on open architecture and APIs, interoperability, optimisation algorithms, forecasting, flexibility and grid services, cybersecurity, digital twins and hardware-in-the-loop testing.

Batteree can contribute industrial BESS expertise, system architecture and integration, real operating data, hardware and pilot/demo environments. The project should combine open-source or openly specified components with the development of a scalable software platform suitable for future commercial deployment.

We are looking for universities, RTOs, software and control-system developers, energy companies, DSOs, aggregators and pilot partners interested in developing and validating the solution within CETPartnership or Horizon Europe.
