CHP Development
About
Following the completion of our current Innovate UK CMDC6 project in 10-12 months’ time, we will have a fully developed, containerised hydrogen Combined Heat and Power (CHP) system based on our zero-emissions hydrogen internal combustion engine (HICE). We are actively seeking opportunities to deploy this system in new grant-funded projects starting in approximately one year.
Our focus is on sectors where simultaneous heat and power demand can maximise system efficiency and value — including ports and maritime, aquaculture, forestry, remote construction, and off-grid water treatment.
As a project partner, PlusZero can contribute:
-
Proven technical capability in hydrogen system integration, deployment, and operation.
-
CHP technology capable of delivering both electrical and high-grade process heat in off-grid or diesel-replacement contexts.
-
Hydrogen supply chain expertise and local-for-local production partnerships.
-
Practical deployment experience in demanding environments, ensuring rapid, compliant installation and commissioning.
We are particularly interested in collaborations that test, validate, and scale our CHP systems in real-world operational settings, informing commercial rollout and expanding the UK’s hydrogen infrastructure.
