Coastal, Off-Grid, 24/7 Green Hydrogen Production from Seawater
About
2027/28 Seawater System Pilot Demonstrator Project Partners sought for:
-
Off-taking green hydrogen produced through direct seawater electrolyser with integrated seawater flow battery
-
Off-gird, renewable powered hydrogen deployment projects
-
Energy and Hydrogen partner looking to:
-
Decarbonise logistics - heating, power, and transport
-
Decarbonise industry - fuel and feedstock
-
Implement green hydrogen - replacing grey hydrogen
-
Balance of Plant with renewable energy
-
Our Hydrogen Seawater Electrolysis Technology (HySET) supports coastal projects requiring small amounts of hydrogen per day (3-5 kg/day) which will be produced on-site, reducing infrastructural barriers.
By integrating cheap, direct renewable energy and producing on-site (removing compression and transport), we aim to reach a strike-price under £5/€6 per kilogram.
Our hydrogen as a service is best suited for decarbonisation projects such as generators, logistical vehicles, or chemical feed stock.
This funding call will see the technological development and testing of our demonstrator project in an operational environment, gathering key performance indicators and learning outcomes.
