Technological Institute of Aragon

ITA is a Spanish technology centre whose mission is to help companies and institutions through innovation and technological development. Main ITA’s competences are: Materials and Components, Industrial Systems, ICT for Logistics, and digital technologies (including AI, Big data, Cognitive Linguistics and Deep Learning). These competences are strongly linked to the regional environment, where we help the companies through technological development and helping them to improve their products, processes and services throughout innovation and where we work closely with the regional health ecosystem. The ITA’s Big Data and Cognitive Systems research line aims to develop complex software-intensive solutions for data processing, based on Artificial Intelligence, generating knowledge on real-time to solve business problems of Big Data. This group is included inside Digital technology department, where several lines like IoT, Blockchain and Industry 4.0 are included. The group’s staff has a very specialized knowledge in information processing and intensive application of Big Data platforms. During the last 10 years, the group has accumulated experience in the development of advanced Artificial Intelligence solutions for public and private companies in many sectors like ICT, Agrifood, Industry 4.0, eHealth, Energy, Tourism, Marketing, Bank, and Logistics.

ITA has a wide experience in collaboration projects, both Europeand-funded and national-funded. ITA plays a key role in BDVA, participating in many task forces and groups, and coordinating the Agrifood and Smart cities' ones. ITA also is member of the experts' board.
