Looking for Industry-driven Research Center & Universities

Across Europe, valuable research is produced every year. Yet too often, strong results remain underused once projects end—simply because they are not fully aligned with real industrial needs or market realities.

At IMMIB (Istanbul Mineral and Metals Exporters’ Associations), we work at the intersection of research, industry, and market deployment. Representing energy-intensive sectors such as steel, aluminium, chemicals, electronics, and non-ferrous metals, our members account for nearly one third of Türkiye’s total exports. This gives us a clear, hands-on understanding of what industry truly needs: practical, scalable, and economically viable solutions.

For this reason, we are actively seeking to collaborate with industry-driven research centers and universities that aim to move beyond expertise alone and translate knowledge into real-world impact. With over 15 years of experience in EU-funded projects, IMMIB contributes strongly to:

• aligning research outcomes with industrial demand,

• supporting pilot implementations and validation with SMEs,

• facilitating market uptake, dissemination, and exploitation,

• and connecting research results with strong national and international ecosystems.

We believe that when research excellence meets industry reality, projects become not only successful—but meaningful.
