About
I offer expertise in education research, educational technologies, and innovation projects, with long-standing experience in EU and nationally funded initiatives. My work focuses on designing, implementing, and evaluating technology-enhanced learning environments through interdisciplinary and multi-stakeholder collaboration.
I coordinated the OPEDUCA Istanbul Project, which aimed to open schools to society by developing Open Educational Areas and strengthening cooperation between schools, universities, industry, civil society, and public authorities. The project was implemented in collaboration with the Regional Centre of Expertise (RCE) Rhine-Meuse and local education authorities, contributing to education for sustainable development.
My research experience includes privacy-preserving data analysis and publishing in education, supported by TÜBİTAK, where I worked on identifying privacy risks in educational data and developing advanced techniques to ensure data protection for students, teachers, parents, and school administrators.
I have also contributed to projects on AI-supported learning environments and smart classrooms, including the development and evaluation of handwriting recognition technologies and interactive e-content for K–1 learners. These projects aimed to enhance student motivation, learning speed, and formative feedback through intelligent educational software.
In addition, I have conducted international research on educational technology acceptance, validating the UTAUT model across cultures.
I have served as a visiting research scholar at the University of Toledo, contributing to the evaluation of NSF grant-funded projects on science education leadership and early childhood education.
My background further includes leading the International Teacher Leadership Project in Turkey, providing professional development for teachers and evaluating the impact of teacher-led development initiatives across national and international contexts.
Overall, I bring strong expertise in local project coordination, research design, evaluation, and impact assessment, with a particular interest in Horizon Europe and Erasmus+ projects focused on digital, inclusive, and sustainable education.
