About
The Latvian Association of Artificial Intelligence (MILA) is a proactive, impact-driven, and 65+ member strong NGO from a "Widening" region. Our membership represents Corporates, SMEs, Universities, and individual researchers, as well as VET and networking organizations - collectively driving the AI ecosystem in Latvia. We do not just represent the industry; we act as a neutral connector uniting industry, government/public sector, and academia. We serve as your gateway to the Baltic-Nordic region, helping partners navigate everything from practical AI implementation to complex societal challenges.
Our Core Focus: MILA and its network prioritize AI-related research and application across five key sectors: Energy, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Municipalities, and Robotics.
Horizon & Digital Europe Participation: We contribute as a Task Contributor, Work Package Leader, or Coordinator, adding strategic value in:
· Ecosystem Mapping & Brokerage: Curating regional stakeholders.
· Impact & Knowledge Hubs: Driving dissemination and measurable KPIs.
· Policy & Responsible AI: Navigating the AI Act and standardization.
· Capacity Building: Upskilling SMEs and public administrators.
· Technical Pilots & Test-Beds: Coordinating real-world validation with members.
· Ecosystem Growth: Navigating funding pathways for Baltic innovators.
· Project Management: Ensuring professional coordination and sustainability.
Looking forward to mutually beneficial cooperation to elevate AI together!
