About
SOFIA SAT CLUB is building ground station infrastructure and explicitly works on university-style stations such as UniClOGS.
We can contribute a concrete integration package for projects that need a real ground segment component: configuring stations, enabling scheduled observations, ensuring operational reliability, and connecting received data into the project’s processing/AI pipeline.
Scope / activities:

Ground station deployment support (hardware validation, configuration, documentation)

Operational integration: station health monitoring, scheduling strategy, observation planning

Data integration: standardize outputs, metadata, naming conventions; create “handoff” into project pipeline

Quality controls: reception statistics, error handling, reproducibility checks

Optional: expand the club network by onboarding additional schools/universities as “lightweight” stations
Expected inputs from consortium:

Mission needs (frequency bands/protocols), observation priorities, data products desired

Preferred storage/API integration approach

Any security/compliance requirements
Deliverables we can own:

Station integration handbook (repeatable setup, ops checklist)

Operational KPIs (uptime, passes completed, data volume, quality stats)

Data delivery interface spec (formats, metadata, APIs/exports)

Demonstration: “from pass → file → processed product” example workflow
