Education, Skills & Dissemination – multilingual training + workshops + community building

Education and dissemination is a core pillar of SOFIA SAT CLUB: we provide “a sustainable, multilingual platform for hands-on satellite research, STEM training, and international exchanges,” deliver courses online and in-person, develop bilingual curricula, and run seminars/hackathons/community activities.

We can also contribute ready academic content aligned to space and society topics, including a full course syllabus on EU space policies suitable for university-level dissemination and policy/impact framing.

Additionally, we have course content focused on climate change and natural hazards using space technologies (ESA/PECS-related educational material), which is highly relevant for EO/AI projects with societal impact.

Scope / activities:

• Training program design (beginner → intermediate modules)

• Seminars/webinars (project results, tools, “how to replicate”)

• Hands-on workshops (data-to-map, AI workflow basics, ground station demos)

• Student challenges / hackathons (problem statements + judging + mentoring)

• Dissemination toolkit: explainer videos, slide decks, lesson plans, printable briefs

• Impact measurement: participation stats, feedback surveys, learning outcomes indicators

Expected inputs from consortium:

• Key project results to translate (software, datasets, demos)

• Branding/dissemination requirements + target audiences

• Any existing training materials to adapt

Deliverables we can own:

• Training curriculum (modules, slides, exercises, reading lists)

• 3–6 events delivered (webinars/workshops/hackathons) + recordings

• Dissemination pack (1-page briefs, video scripts, media kit)

• Participation + impact report (KPIs, feedback, lessons learned)
