About
Sensei is a Portuguese deep-tech company building AI and computer vision solutions for autonomous, unattended physical spaces. Our core deployments are in retail, with major retail and energy operators, and we are already present in other verticals — for example, unattended service stations operating 24/7 in mobility (with airports as a next target), and autonomous, unattended parapharmacies open 24/7 in health & wellness.
Our technology combines real-time computer vision, sensor fusion and AI agents to give full visibility into what happens on the shop floor. We collect and process this operational data to generate strategic insights and analytics that support decision-making and drive operational efficiency — validated continuously across a live, revenue-generating network, not a lab prototype.
This makes Sensei a credible demonstrator, pilot site, technology partner or system integrator for consortia that need to prove AI concepts in real physical environments.
Some examples of possible participation and interest are as follows:

Physical AI across and beyond retail — deepening the application of our perception and data-intelligence stack within retail, while also extending it in mobility (e.g. service stations and airports), health and wellness (e.g. autonumous/hybrid pharmacy), and to further sectors such as tourism, hospitality, workplaces and education.

AI-driven robotics — providing the perception and contextual-intelligence layer for robots operating in complex, dynamic physical spaces.

Human–AI collaboration for the future workforce — testbed for AI that supports and coordinates human intervention rather than replacing it.

Federated, decentralised and edge AI data processing — leveraging our multi-site network to validate privacy-preserving, federated-learning and edge-inference architectures.

Telco edge-cloud infrastructure — using our sites' real-time, low-latency operational demands as a demand-side pilot for next-generation edge-cloud connectivity.
Sensei's typical role would be as an industrial partner, real-world pilot site, or use-case and technology contributor — bringing operational deployments, live data and a proven AI/CV stack — while seeking complementary partners in robotics, AI/data science, HCI, telecom and edge/cloud infrastructure.
