Site Visit 2 - Guided tour of the Stavroupoli Bus Depot
The Stavroupoli Bus Depot represents a strong example of rapidly deployed overnight charging infrastructure, developed to meet the immediate operational requirements of a fleet of 110 electric buses in Thessaloniki’s bus network. During the visit, participants will tour the depot’s charging facilities and gain insights into daily charging operations and infrastructure management.
TRAVEL PLAN
- The group will travel together from the Forum venue to the Stavroupoli Bus Depot premises as follows: Forum venue → 10-minute walk → Bus stop 25 Martiou, Leof. Vasillissis Olgas → Dedicated electric bus → Stavroupoli Bus Depot
- At the bus stop, a dedicated electric bus, arranged exclusively for the site visit participants, will be waiting to transfer the group directly to the Stavroupoli Bus Depot.
Return Journey
- From Stavroupoli Bus Depot > Dedicated electric bus → Aristotelous square (City Centre)
- At the end of the visit, the dedicated electric bus will transfer participants back to Aristotelous Square, in Thessaloniki city centre, where the organised visit will conclude.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Please be on time. Participants are kindly requested to arrive at the meeting point by 17:30. As the visit follows a fixed schedule and involves coordinated transfers, we can only allow a maximum waiting time of 5-7 minutes before the group departs.
- Wear comfortable shoes. The journey includes an approximately 10-minute walk from the Forum venue to 25 Martiou Bust Station, so comfortable footwear is recommended.
