Active Mobility for Liveable, Healthy Cities — How Do We Know It Works? (Part II)
- Resilience
Implementation alone is not enough. Cities need robust evidence to know whether their active mobility measures are reaching all users, achieving modal shift and delivering co-benefits for safety, air quality and quality of life. This session brings together four speakers with complementary expertise in monitoring frameworks, research-based evidence, cross-city evaluation and urban data analytics. Each contribution addresses a specific question: what makes a monitoring framework genuinely usable for a city, what the evidence shows about what actually works, how to judge what is transferable across contexts and how data can reveal who active mobility measures are failing to reach. The session runs as a compact moderated panel with short focused interventions and extended discussion. It directly follows Session Part I and invites the audience to connect implementation experience with the evidence base. Findings from this session feed into replication-oriented recommendations aligned with the CIVITAS learning transfer agenda.
