At Spectricon, our purpose is to innovate towards advancing mainstream technologies of hyperspectral imaging, while at the same time making them simple, portable and smart.

By pushing the limits of spectral imaging, the company has created and globally distributes next-generation hyperspectral camera platforms that provide the industry’s highest spatial resolution and widest spectral range. Our proprietary full-frame snapscan and handheld snapshot technologies can be trained to detect micro-structures and compositions of complex materials, making these tools more accessible, smart, and easy to deploy.

Spectricon’s advanced spectral camera technologies have earned international awards and recognition and are sold across North America, Europe, and Asia, serving a variety of sectors, such as research institutions, remote sensing, microscopy, machine vision, online sorting, food processing, forensics, and artwork analysis.

Spectricon was founded in 2016 by Prof. Costas Balas. The team has more than a century of cumulative experience in developing innovative and commercially successful hyperspectral imaging cameras, systems and high-profile applications.
