About

BETA Technological Center (https://betatechcenter.com/) is seeking to join a consortium preparing a proposal for HORIZON-CL6-2026-03-GOVERNANCE-10: Embracing innovation in agriculture by peer-to-peer learning via on farm-demonstrations and cost-benefit analysis. BETA has extensive experience of co-creation processes, farmer-led innovation, and learning-based approaches that promote the practical adoption of sustainable agricultural practices. The Governance for Sustainability Unit applies participatory methodologies and social learning frameworks to design and manage peer-to-peer exchange, on-farm demonstration networks and collaborative learning pathways. This strengthens the ability of farmers, advisors and rural stakeholders to share lessons, jointly assess innovations, and iterate towards context-specific practices that are more sustainable, profitable and acceptable. Additionally, the Knowledge Transfer Unit amplifies these efforts through territorial and sectoral transfer mechanisms, including structured dissemination strategies, co-design of demonstration content, and engagement of intermediary actors such as advisory services and rural advisers.

Within a consortium, BETA can contribute the following: (i) the co-design and facilitation of on-farm demonstration networks; (ii) the structuring of peer-to-peer learning and advisory processes; (iii) socio-economic and cost–benefit analyses of innovative practices; (iv) synthesising lessons learned to inform wider AKIS and policy frameworks; and (v) transfer and uptake support that embeds innovation into everyday agricultural decision-making. This expertise establishes BETA as a valuable partner for projects seeking to accelerate agricultural innovation through learning, collaboration, and practical validation. Projects related to this area of expertise include: EVECSA, Gov4GreenMed, AQUAGRI-KNOW and ENGAGEgreen.
