HORIZON-CL6-2026-02-CLIMATE-01 - Looking for consortium – Expertise in climate policy analysis and governance for agriculture and forestry

BETA Technological Center (https://betatechcenter.com/) is seeking to join a consortium preparing a proposal for HORIZON-CL6-2026-02-CLIMATE-01: Towards more effective, fair and coherent policies for climate change mitigation and adaptation in agriculture and forestry. BETA contributes strong expertise in policy analysis, governance design and stakeholder engagement to support the development of climate policies that are effective, socially fair and coherent across governance levels. The Governance for Sustainability Unit has extensive experience in analysing policy mixes, institutional arrangements and decision-making processes shaping climate mitigation and adaptation in agricultural and forestry systems. The unit works across local, regional, national and EU levels to assess policy coherence, identify synergies and trade-offs between climate, environmental and agricultural objectives, and evaluate the distributional impacts of policy measures on different actor groups. BETA’s approach integrates evidence-based policy analysis with participatory processes, enabling the inclusion of farmers, foresters, public authorities, advisory services and other stakeholders in policy design and evaluation. This supports the co-creation of climate strategies that are context-specific, socially acceptable and implementable in practice. The unit also brings experience in linking scientific evidence to policy needs, translating complex analytical results into actionable recommendations for policymakers.
