Who we are?: Gazda Kontroll Ltd (Hungary) is a private agricultural advisory and innovation management company supporting 300+ farms nationwide in developing sustainable, resilient and economically viable production systems. We work at the interface between primary production, advisory systems, value chains and policy, ensuring that food system strategies are grounded in production realities, affordability and sustainability trade-offs

Strategic fit: Gazda Kontroll contributes to this call by bringing a production-side and sustainability perspective to diet programmes for the ageing population, ensuring that dietary recommendations are affordable and scalable, aligned with sustainable European food production and compatible with local and regional food systems. Our core expertise aligned with the call scope

• Sustainable food production & availability: In-depth knowledge of crop production systems, including protein crops, legumes and diversified rotations; Understanding of environmental and economic trade-offs in food production; Ability to assess how dietary recommendations affect farm-level viability and supply chains.

• Food systems & socio-economic considerations: Experience working with small and medium-sized farms, cooperatives and advisory networks; Insight into price sensitivity, accessibility and affordability of food products; Understanding of regional disparities in food availability and production capacity.

• Advisory systems & policy support: Long-standing experience supporting policy implementation at farm level (CAP, agri-environmental measures); Capacity to translate policy objectives into operational guidance; Experience contributing to national and EU-level recommendations and strategies.

• Communication & awareness raising: Strong experience in practice-oriented dissemination; Links to agricultural stakeholders and communication channels; Ability to contribute to sustainability-focused awareness campaigns connecting diets and production.
