About
Elicit Plant offers a science-driven, market-ready solution to one of the most pressing challenges in climate adaptation: ensuring crop productivity under water scarcity and rising temperatures. Our patented phytosterol-based biostimulants act as adaptive signaling molecules, enabling plants to optimize water use and activate stress-response pathways, reducing water consumption by up to 20%.
Key Contributions to the Consortium:
-
Innovative Climate-Adaptation Technology: Proven ability to enhance crop resilience to drought and heat stress, directly supporting EU climate adaptation goals.
-
Scientific Expertise: Advanced knowledge in plant physiology, molecular biology, and stress-response mechanisms, backed by three PhD programs and collaborations with leading research institutes.
-
Demonstrated Impact: Extensive multilocation trials across Europe and South America validate performance on major crops (corn, soybean, cereals, sunflower, grapevine, potato, rapeseed).
-
Infrastructure for Research & Demonstration: In-house chemistry and biology labs, agronomy platform, and experimental farm for controlled and real-condition trials (TRL 5–8).
-
Data management process allowing to design and govern end‑to‑end scientific data pipelines from field trials to lab/greenhouse experiments.
-
Regulatory and Market Readiness: 12 patent families, 19 granted patents, and regulatory approvals in 41 countries ensure scalability and rapid deployment.
-
Alignment with Policy Objectives: Supports reduction of chemical inputs, optimization of water resources, and resilience of food systems under climate constraints.
By integrating Elicit Plant’s technology, the consortium can deliver actionable solutions for climate adaptation, combining scientific rigor, sustainability, and economic viability, and provide evidence-based recommendations for future agricultural policies.
