CL6HE_2026_03_GOV_10: innovation in agriculture by peer-to-peer learning

International Collaboration at University of Liege

Gembloux, Belgium

About

Based on the “One health” approach, the idea is the eco-conception of a smart bioclimatic greenhouse:

-          Eco-conception in order to minimize the carbon footprint (low tech > Solar panels, water management, ….)

-          Smart by using digital tools to collect data and monitor the crops parameters (High tech > Drones, sensors …)

This innovative demo tool is a ready-to-use solution to experiment agroecology practices. It will address climate change challenges and the growing demand for local food. The main objective is to _e_nhance the resilience of local food systems to climate change risks and impacts like a decrease in agricultural production. It will contribute to a more sustainable, healthy, and environmentally friendly food system with more local, reliable and secure supply chains.

In terms of social inclusion and economic impacts, it will contribute to reduce food poverty and empower communities.
