Faculty of Technology Novi Sad was founded in 1959, with the aim to provide academic education to engineering staff in the area of Food engineering. In more than 50 years, the Faculty has developed into highly ranked educational and scientific institution, both in our country and abroad. High level of academic education and scientific research activities, as well as large number of scientific publications, projects, patents and other accomplishments of our employees in the field of Food, Chemical and Pharmaceutical engineering, as well as in Biotechnology, have made FoTNS ranked very high among other institutions in these fields. Collaboration with industrial sector is implemented through several accredited laboratories, as well as through large number of projects developing scientific solutions in terms of products/technologies for the industrial R&D and commercialization purposes, thus providing a base of partners for future employment of the technology engineers educated at FoTNS.
Aleksandar Jokić is highly qualified in the field of chemical process engineering with a specific focus on the separation techniques development. His vast experience in microbial biomass harvesting is essential for the design of novel downstream procedures. His scientific contribution so far is mostly reflected in the development of separation strategies that are aligned with the principles of the circular economy. Therefore, his acquired skills will contribute to the creation of microbial inoculants recovery strategy based on minimal energy consumption and natural flocculants’ application according to the principle “from flocculation to formulation”. His computer skills and competences includes Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Microsoft Corporation, USA), Statistica 13.2 software (Dell Inc., USA), Matlab R2015b (MathWorks, USA), and Design-Expert v.7 (Stat-Ease, USA). Aleksandar is also lecturer in the accredited Chemical Advisor Training Course based on a certificate, issued by the Ministry responsible for environmental protection.
So far, he has applied his knowledge and skills through projects:
· Project ТR31002: Improving bioethanol production from products of sugar beet processing, Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia, research team member.
· Project 544634-TEMPUS-1-2013-1-DE-TEMPUS-JPHES: Creation of university-enterprise cooperation networks for education on sustainable technologies, TEMPUS Foundation, research team member.
· Project HUSRB/1002/122/137: Strategic noise mapping and action plan – NOISE MAPPING, IPA program of cross-border cooperation between Hungary and Serbia, research team member.
