Elena Politi is a post doc researcher at Harokopio University of Athens. She received her B.Sc degree in Physics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, specializing in Environmental Physics. In 2017, she completed a Master’s degree in Telecommunication Networks and Telematic Services at Harokopio University of Athens, graduating with distinction and receiving an award scholarship of excellence. Her academic journey continued with pursuing a Ph.D. at the Department of Informatics and Telematics of Harokopio University of Athens in 2017, where she currently serves as a research associate, exploring topics like IoT applications, Intelligent Transport Systems, AI, and optimization algorithms for autonomous vehicles, while she is also actively involved in project management and proposal writing of various Horizon Europe and national funding projects. She also teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Wireless and Mobile Network Technologies, Network Design and Management, and Telematics Applications in Transportation and Health.
