About me

Since 2008, I have been working full-time at the Institute of Viticulture and Enology, where I have held the position of Head of the Institute since 2012. In 2021, I was appointed professor. In the field of science and research I focus on issues of wine technology, microbiology and food biochemistry. The results of my work have been published as author or co-author of 59 original scientific papers listed in the WOS database, 30 of which fall into the Q1 or Q2 category. My H-index is 18 and I have 1484 citations. In addition, I am author or co-author of a total of 4 books, 14 proceedings papers (listed in the WoS database), 7 utility models, 4 working samples, 14 peer-reviewed scientific articles (non-WOS), 6 maps, 2 patents, 2 softwares, 3 validated technologies and 1 semi-innovation. Of course, I have also made presentations at scientific conferences.

From 2010 till now, I have been a researcher and co-investigator of a number of grant projects, namely: the National Agency for Agricultural Research, the Czech Technology Agency, COST, projects of the Operational Programme for Education and Competitiveness and NAKI. Contract research is very important from the point of view of the project, especially with reference to the connection with practice.
