Use of high-quality compost extracts as a probiotic for immediate application after pesticide use
About
Analogous to human health - we take antibiotics only when necessary and immediately follow with probiotics, agriculture holds enormous potential to both reduce pesticide use and mitigate its systemic negative impacts by applying a locally adapted, broad-spectrum probiotic spray from high-quality compost from the farmer.
We know it works based on preliminary trials and case studies (TRL 3). We need a 3+ year trial with a selected farmer (TRL 7), followed by scale-up, so that in 10 years, using probiotics after every pesticide application becomes standard agricultural practice.
The potential for synergy between economics and ecology — including job creation social impact — is large.
