Circular Bio-Based Materials and Geopolymers for Sustainable Construction
About
Our company specializes in R&D and innovation at the intersection of circular bioeconomy and sustainable construction. We valorize diverse agro-industrial waste streams—including rice husk ash, sugarcane bagasse, hemp, and biochar—into next-generation building materials. Our portfolio includes:
• Agro-industrial geopolymers as Portland cement alternatives, eliminating cement use and reducing CO₂ emissions while offering superior durability in harsh environments.
• Biocomposite panels using bacterial calcification to bind natural fibers, removing the need for synthetic adhesives.
• Self-insulating concrete blocks combining agro-ash and biochar for thermal efficiency and fire resistance.
• Multifunctional facades made from agricultural fibers and photocatalytic compounds, enabling self-cleaning and NOₓ reduction in urban settings.
Our innovations align with EU Green Deal objectives and offer scalable solutions for decarbonizing the construction sector through circular resource use and advanced material science. We seek to join consortia aiming to pilot, upscale, and market bio-based and circular construction technologies under Horizon Europe Cluster 6 calls.
