HORIZON-CL6-2025-01-CIRCBIO-01: Novel circular business models to enable the just transition to a sustainable and circular economy

Arne Dulsrud

Research Professor at Consumption Research Norway (SIFO), Oslo Metropolitan University

Oslo, Norway

About

SIFO has extensive experience in research on sustainable consumption, including circular models like repair, reuse, and sharing, and which products, services and practices that are enabling sustainable consumption and reducing environmental impact. We also have researchers with background in product design, working on how the design field can contribute to making consumer practices more sustainable.

Currently part of the Horizon (Cl. 6) funded CARE project (Circular consumption Activities to tRansform households toward material Efficiency), leading WP4 (Circular Clothing Pilots), coordinating the design and implementation of interventions to promote sustainable clothing consumption. The team is working to recruit households, develop innovative pilot designs and collect data to change consumption practices. Beyond WP4, OsloMet contributes with insights on consumer practices and sustainability expertise to other work packages, emphasizing the role of households and communities in achieving circular economy goals.

SIFO also has experience from mapping consumers perceptions of greenwashing and green claims in commercials and social media, as well as ecodesign and other sustainability lables and their effect on consumers.
