HORIZON-CL6-2025-02-FARM2FORK-10: Diversifying aquaculture production with emphasis on low-trophic species
Senior Research Adviser at Consumption Research Norway (SIFO), Oslo Metropolitan University
Oslo, Norway
About
Research on consumers is critical to overcome barriers of potential low awareness and acceptance of edible aquatic species such as algae, shellfish, and other low-trophic organisms.
Contribute with qualitative and quantitative studies to understanding barriers and motivators to trying and adopting these products. Identify how labels, certifications, GIs, storytelling, and origin influence consumer trust and perception.
Investigate whether consumers are willing to weigh cost, taste, ethics, and environmental impact when making food choices.
Have researchers currently part of the ERA project ImprovaFish, a project with a transdisciplinary approach to address critical knowledge gaps related to the feed-microbe-host-axis in Atlantic salmon aquaculture production. SIFO leads the WP on RRI, facilitating mutual learning between the ImprovAFish consortium, industry and societal stakeholders and to support the co-creation of a social license to operate.
Experience in consumption and consumer studies, including both cross-country and urban-regional comparisons.
