HORIZON-CL6-2025-02-FARM2FORK-07: Improving grassland management in European livestock farming systems
About
We can conduct field experiments to investigate
- the effects of conservation agriculture practices on forage yield, quality soil fertility, carbon sequestration, water retention capacity, and, soil nutrient status
- the effects of cultivation of new species and mixtures of grass and legumes on forage productivity and farm incomes.
- To determine forage quality parameters (the contents of crude protein, crude fat, ADF, NDF, IVDMD, total digestible nutrients, metabolic energy) of crops that will be tested in the study.
In addition, we can organize workshops or field days where the scientific results of the project are shared with stakeholders such as farmers, rural committees and farmer associations to facilitate the adoption and dissemination of new forage grasses and conservative grassland management methods.
