About me

In Brief, I would like to mention myself. I have a Ph.D. in Food Engineering in the development of active nanoencapsulations using novel technology (Electrospinning technology) for food packaging applications at Mersin University, Turkey. During the predoctoral period, I got familiarized with electrospinning technology and investigated the use of nanofibres as physical property improvers in foodstuffs at Lincoln University, the United Kingdom. And another stay during the predoctoral period was completed working on edible/biodegradable packaging materials and extending the shelf life of dairy and meat products at CSIC-IATA, Valencia, Spain. After my Ph.D., I got a postdoctoral contract at Teagasc, Agriculture and Food Development Authority, Ireland, where I was responsible for the development of micro-macro encapsulation and dairy food applications and in vitro digestion. I completed my Post-doc, I started a new permanent position as Asst Prof.

I 'm also working as PI on Era-NET, PRIMA, H2020 MSCA and other EU projects.
