Commercialization of aqueous battery binders and processing
About
We're looking for partners in the commercialization of an aqueous, conductive battery binder technology that we have developed at the University of Manitoba. These binders are:
-
conductive: replacing carbon and fluorinated binder in composite battery electrodes
-
aqueous: requiring no toxic solvent in the processing
-
abundant: based on biopolymers and abundant synthesis chemicals
-
non-toxic: no toxic by-products, non-toxic binders (no fluorine, no PFAS)
-
cheap: raw materials are cheap, synthesis is single-step, room-temperature process
