About

The Sorapán de Rieros Foundation is a non-profit organization located in Extremadura (Spain), with over 25 years of experience dedicated to promoting mental health and emotional well-being, particularly among people in vulnerable or underserved situations. We work at the intersection of psychosocial support, therapeutic care, education, employment, and community development, delivering integrated, person-centered responses to complex mental health needs.

Our team of professionals is structured around interdisciplinary collaboration, enabling us to provide comprehensive support services and to actively participate in applied research and innovation projects.

We are currently exploring collaboration opportunities in Horizon Europe calls that address mental health across social, educational, labor and community settings. In particular, we are interested in:

  • HORIZON-CL2-2025-01-TRANSFO-08: Improving mental health outcomes for people in education, training and work

  • HORIZON-CL2-2025-01-TRANSFO-09: Good practices for increased autonomy of persons with disabilities

  • Other topics focused on digital innovation or the application of artificial intelligence to mental health prevention, care and inclusion.

We have developed several initial project ideas aligned with these priorities and are currently looking for experienced Horizon Europe coordinators to collaborate in developing these into competitive proposals.

What we bring to partnerships

  • Extensive field expertise in mental health intervention and psychosocial support, with a strong focus on vulnerable populations.

  • Capacity to co-design, implement and evaluate mental health programs in real-life environments (schools, workplaces, community services).

  • Access to diverse participant groups and well-established local and regional networks.

  • Experience in EU-funded projects, contributing from a practice-based, socially committed perspective.

  • Interest in collaborating on digital and AI-driven solutions, offering validation environments and insight into user needs, ethics, and implementation challenges.

We are seeking partnerships with research institutions, NGOs, public authorities, and technology developers to create sustainable, inclusive, and impactful innovations in mental health.
