Research on design, analysis and characterization of building materials

Aitor Álvarez Toral

Researcher at INTROMAC

Cáceres, Spain

About

The development of more environmentally friendly building materials and green building are the main topics of the research carried out in INTROMAC. Building materials with increasingly lower environmental impacts are being developed by the use of renewable materials and waste valorization, taking on account Ecodesing and promoting Circular Economy. The materials that are being researched need to be analyzed and characterized using a wide range of techniques and methodologies. Finally, the resulting materials are tested using the prescribed methodologies, so technical requirements are met in accordance with legislation and the demands of the industry.
