Cell therapy post-stroke recovery

About

PT-101: A first-in-class expanded CD34+ cell therapy for post-stroke recovery

Despite standard-of-care reperfusion, many ischemic stroke patients are left with lasting disability, and no regenerative therapy exists to address this gap. Cellprothera is developing CPT-101, an allogeneic, cord-blood-derived, off-the-shelf CD34+ cell therapy delivered as a single intra-arterial injection post-stroke.

CPT-101 builds on a strong biological rationale: CD34+ cell mobilization after stroke correlates with recovery, and expanded CD34+ cells secrete factors driving neuroprotection and neuroplasticity - angiogenesis, neurogenesis, immunomodulation and vascular repair. It is differentiated from competing candidates by its enriched cell composition, broader mechanism, and targeted delivery route.

Backed by a validated, patent-protected manufacturing platform, a clean Freedom-to-Operate, and a Scientific Advisory Board of leading stroke neurologists, the program is preclinical-stage and planning to reach mechanism-of-action confirmation (Phase 2) - with a €1.2bn peak sales opportunity.

We are seeking strategic partners (co-development, licensing-in, or NewCo/JV) to accelerate this differentiated regenerative approach to stroke care.
