Proprietary Ionizable Lipids
About
Certest’s ionizable lipid portfolio comprises more than 1,500 proprietary molecules developed for efficient LNP-mediated delivery of nucleic acid therapeutics. The collection includes structurally diverse and biodegradable candidates generated through semi-rational design and machine-learning-supported approaches, with freedom-to-operate considerations incorporated into their development.
The portfolio supports mRNA, saRNA, circRNA, siRNA, pDNA and CRISPR gene-editing systems. Candidates have been assessed in multiple LNP compositions and preclinical applications, providing options for liver, spleen, lung and immune-cell delivery. Selected lipids have shown strong potency, differentiated biodistribution and favourable tolerability profiles, and can be combined with ligand-mediated targeting and lyophilisation technologies.
Ionizable lipids can be supplied as standalone materials for internal evaluation or incorporated into customised LNP formulations. Certest supports partners with candidate selection, formulation development and optimisation, analytical characterisation, targeting, stability studies, scale-up and technology transfer. Collaboration models include lipid supply, screening and formulation services, joint development, and platform- or product-specific licensing.
CP-LC-0729, Certest’s lead ionizable lipid, is available for research use and at GMP grade and is supported by an FDA Drug Master File, non-human-primate data. This lipid has already entered clinical phase through an external party. Additional candidates are available for programmes requiring alternative biodistribution, biodegradability or tolerability profiles.
