About
Jiksak Bioengineering has developed Nerve Organoid™, a cutting-edge platform capable of using various iPS cell-derived nerve tissues to be cultured on microfluidic chips. These organoids model can be motor, sensory, and glutamatergic neurons, forming acellular 3D axon bundles and dense neuronal cell bodies that closely recapitulate the structural and functional properties of in vivo peripheral nerves.
Our organoids can be cultured on both the Jiksak A-chip and B-chip platforms:
• A-chip enables long 3D axon culture ideal for axon formation, guidance, and transport studies.
• B-chip supports high-throughput applications such as compound screening and synaptogenesis assays.
The system also supports co-culture with target cells, facilitating studies of cell-cell interaction, neurotoxicity, and disease modeling in complex tissue environments.
Product Partnering/Licensing-in Opportunities
Jiksak is currently:
• Seeking licensing-in partners to use our nerve organoid technology and chip platforms (A-chip and B-chip) for their standard drug evluation assay.
• Collaborating with CROs and CDMOs to integrate Nerve Organoids as customized assay offerings, enabling clients to access human-relevant, scalable models for neuroscience research, drug discovery, and toxicity evaluation.
