About
Maxmodal — Intelligent Multimodal Freight Service Management
International multimodal logistics remains highly fragmented. To build a single end-to-end service across rail, sea, road and terminals, logistics companies may need to manually collect and combine hundreds of freight rates from multiple providers, stored across different systems, files and formats. What should be a digital process can still take days or even weeks.
Maxmodal addresses this problem at its core.
Maxmodal is a neutral B2B digital platform where logistics companies can connect freight rates from independent transport providers like LEGO blocks into complete multimodal services that can be instantly sold and automatically updated as their underlying components change — turning weeks of work into minutes.
The platform is already operational and generating revenue from real bookings. Transport providers publish rates through their profiles; users connect rates from different providers into multimodal services; a marketplace enables rates to be requested and offered; and when an underlying rate changes, connected services can be automatically updated across suppliers, companies and clients.
From digitalisation to AI
Maxmodal is now moving towards AI-driven intelligent multimodal freight service management. A working AI prototype has already been developed, with the next stage focused on automated route generation, creation of thousands of multimodal solutions in seconds, intelligent optimisation, dynamic pricing and AI agents for logistics management.
Our technologies are protected by an expanding international patent portfolio, and Maxmodal is a Hong Kong technology company participating in the Cyberport Incubation Programme.
Building the Digital Silk Road
Our current strategic focus is the Silk Road connecting China, Central Asia and Europe — one of the world’s most fragmented logistics environments, with multiple corridors, dozens of routes, thousands of providers and tens of thousands of freight rates across an economic space of more than 30 countries representing over 60% of global GDP.
Maxmodal has already established a foundation across this market: shipper and provider ecosystems are developing in Central Asia; transport providers from China, Southeast Asia and Europe have joined the platform; an AI prototype has been developed; and the platform is generating revenue from real bookings.
Using the same technology and data ecosystem, we have launched the Maxmodal Silk Road Index (MSRI) — the world’s first multimodal container freight index, currently covering 27 Eurasian routes across rail, sea, road and terminals. The accumulated multimodal data can provide a foundation for greater freight transparency, predictive analytics and future supply-chain risk management solutions.
The opportunity
We are expanding this ecosystem across the Silk Road and are looking to engage with investors, cargo owners, shipping lines, rail operators, freight forwarders, trucking companies, terminals, technology and innovation partners, and financial institutions.
For transport providers, Maxmodal offers access to a developing ecosystem where their rates can become components of new multimodal services and reach cargo demand. For cargo owners, it provides access to interconnected providers, rates and multimodal transportation solutions. For investors and strategic partners, Maxmodal represents an opportunity to participate in building a new category of intelligent multimodal service management across one of the world’s largest international trade corridors.
Together, we believe Maxmodal can help transform the Silk Road from a fragmented symbol of the past into a connected digital backbone of the future.
Our vision
We believe the next major transformation of container logistics will come from connecting fragmented physical and digital assets into a distributed intelligent multimodal operating system that orchestrates both cargo and data flows to ensure seamless transport and digital operations — unlocking the biggest cost reduction since the container revolution.
