Dr YT Chin is the founder and CEO of Silicon Connect Sdn Bhd, a distinguished professional holding the titles of Chartered Engineer, Chartered Scientist, and Fellow of the Institute of Materials, Mining, and Minerals UK (IoM3), brings over two decades of experience in the Electronics industry. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Applied Science (Hons) in Materials Technology from the University of South Australia, a Master's degree in Microelectronics from Multimedia University (MMU) Malaysia, and a Ph.D. in Engineering, also from MMU Malaysia. Dr. Chin's illustrious career journey encompasses significant roles at Western Digital and Intel Corporation, where he showcased his expertise in Semiconductor manufacturing, Materials and Technology Development. Notably, his tenure at Western Digital/Sandisk saw him spearhead transformative initiatives such as Flash backend Advance Packaging Pathfinding project, driving Lights OUT manufacturing, and establishing collaborative partnerships with universities. Dr. Chin's contributions extend beyond the corporate realm, evidenced by his involvement as an advisory board member for the Asean Innovation and Business Platform, where he advocates for innovation and business growth in the region.
