My organisation

Chickin Indonesia is an agri-tech startup founded in 2020 in Central Java (Klaten) by Ashab Alkahfi (President), Tubagus Syailendra (CEO), and Ahmad Syaifullah (CTO) who sought to address inefficiencies in Indonesia’s poultry industry. With the mission to build food security in Indonesia, Chickin offers integrated solutions that streamline everything from supply inputs to market access and farm tech management to support broiler farmers with a more efficient and transparent ecosystem. At its core, Chickin provides an end-to-end ecosystem that connects upstream input suppliers, midstream farm operations, and downstream buyers through a single digital platform. Its flagship innovation, Chickin Smartfarm, combines IoT-based climate control hardware with a real-time monitoring dashboard, allowing farmers to track and optimize environmental conditions inside their chicken coops. This system helps to improve feed efficiency, reduce mortality rates, and ensure more consistent harvest cycles. To complement its technology offerings, Chickin also operates Chickin Fresh, a cold-chain logistics and distribution business focused on processed poultry products. This vertical integration allows the company to not only support farmers in production but also provide them with guaranteed off-take and access to formal markets. Chickin Fresh currently supplies to over 200 food and beverage businesses in Indonesia, including several well-known quick service restaurant (QSR) brands, ensuring product traceability and consistency across the supply chain. Since then, Chickin has experienced rapid and sustained growth. The company now works with over 50,000 poultry farmers and manages more than 55,000 chickens across its network. Its cold-chain arm has distributed nearly 8 million kilograms of processed chicken, making it a significant player in Indonesia’s protein supply chain.

About me

Tubagus and Ashab (President) have collaborated on various entrepreneurial ventures, eventually finding their path in the poultry industry. Driven by a hands-on approach, they conducted independent research and engaged directly in farming activities to better understand the real challenges of poultry farming. During his distinguished tenure at Chickin Indonesia, Tubagus has overseen key areas of the business, including finance, accounting, tax, human capital, corporate strategy, and legal. His strategic leadership has played a vital role in expanding business operations. He has made a significant impact by building an ecosystem that empowers local farmers to connect with broader markets, obtain inaccessible financial resources that have been brought within reach, and benefit from essential training. His contributions have spurred employment creation in the agritech sector, reinforced local economies' growth, and promoted inclusivity across the business landscape. Tubagus’s dedication and leadership have earned him multiple prestigious recognitions. In February 2025, he was named one of Fortune Indonesia’s 40 under 40 and was also featured in 30 under 30 Asia 2024 and Forbes 30 under 30 Indonesia 2022.
