About
Chickin Indonesia is an agri-tech startup founded in 2020 in Central Java (Klaten) by Ashab Alkahfi (President), Tubagus Syailendra (CEO), and Ahmad Syaifullah (CTO) who sought to address inefficiencies in Indonesia’s poultry industry. With the mission to build food security in Indonesia, Chickin offers integrated solutions that streamline everything from supply inputs to market access and farm tech management to support broiler farmers with a more efficient and transparent ecosystem. At its core, Chickin provides an end-to-end ecosystem that connects upstream input suppliers, midstream farm operations, and downstream buyers through a single digital platform. Its flagship innovation, Chickin Smartfarm, combines IoT-based climate control hardware with a real-time monitoring dashboard, allowing farmers to track and optimize environmental conditions inside their chicken coops. This system helps to improve feed efficiency, reduce mortality rates, and ensure more consistent harvest cycles. To complement its technology offerings, Chickin also operates Chickin Fresh, a cold-chain logistics and distribution business focused on processed poultry products. This vertical integration allows the company to not only support farmers in production but also provide them with guaranteed off-take and access to formal markets. Chickin Fresh currently supplies to over 200 food and beverage businesses in Indonesia, including several well-known quick service restaurant (QSR) brands, ensuring product traceability and consistency across the supply chain. Since then, Chickin has experienced rapid and sustained growth. The company now works with over 50,000 poultry farmers and manages more than 55,000 chickens across its network. Its cold-chain arm has distributed nearly 8 million kilograms of processed chicken, making it a significant player in Indonesia’s protein supply chain.
