Alícia was the first Responsible Food Lab dedicated to culinary positive technological innovation, the improvement of eating habits and give value to the agricultural and gastronomic heritage. Alícia foundation is composed by an interdisciplinary team that uses creativity and scientific knowledge to promote tangible behaviour changes and make people engage with food, with a healthy and sustainable mindset.

The Alícia Foundation was born 20 years ago from the idea of taking advantage of the creative revolution and bring it to the everyday life. Thus, the development of three pillars of reference. The R+D+I area co-create with the citizens and different stakeholders in search of realistic and practical solutions to eat better at home, in schools, in hospitals, in social health centres and in bars and restaurants of all kinds.

In the health department, Alicia is a reference in culinary medicine, developing and sharing culinary solutions to users and health professionals to prevent and help to cure over 60 different diseases and health conditions (for example oncoalicia.com, ketoalicia.com, diabetesalacarta. org…).

Finally, the foundation also promote food culture through innovation with food producers and food artisans to help them be more competitive, developing educational projects with hundreds of thousands of children, studying traditional and historical food heritage, promoting responsible consumption of local products, fighting against food waste and becoming more sustainable.

Alícia is a melting pot of cultures, knowledges and ambitions devoted for different objectives with one mission: THAT EVERYBODY EATS BETTER. That is to say, healthier, more sustainable, and good.
