Investment & R&D Partnership – Smart Spedball Sensing Technology

Spedball Ltd is seeking investment and R&D partners to support the development of the next generation of Spedball®, a new sporting discipline developed in Manchester, UK.

Spedball is built around proprietary sporting hardware and a zero-player-to-player-contact gameplay model. The concept has progressed through multiple generations of design, prototyping and real-world player testing.

Our next technology challenge is to develop and validate intelligent sensing and embedded electronics capable of reliably capturing meaningful interactions with the Spedball hardware during gameplay. This includes distinguishing deliberate sporting interactions from normal movement, vibration, impact and incidental contact.

The development roadmap includes sensing, embedded electronics, wireless data capture and connected gameplay, creating the foundation for future performance analytics, coaching insights and enhanced competitive experiences.

Spedball Ltd is exploring opportunities through the Innovate UK Investor Partnerships – Advanced Connectivity Technologies and Semiconductors programme and is particularly interested in connecting with approved Investor Partners and organisations with expertise in sensors, embedded systems, electronics and advanced manufacturing.

We bring proprietary sporting hardware, an established IP position, physical prototypes and extensive product development and player-testing experience.
